Job Description:

The Project Estimator is responsible for the estimating and pricing of specific requests for proposals from the company’s project planning and co-ordination teams with a primary focus on Hanel, system upgrades, system relocations, and other complex projects.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

  • Supply quotes to project planners for all phases of the design including materials, freight, and installation for projects not requiring design services.
  • Revise quotes as required.
  • Evaluate orders and proposals that do not require design services to determine feasibility of producing item.
  • Assist planning in quality control process for projects in process.
  • Collect and evaluate actual installation data and recommend changes to existing pricing/installation procedures based on findings.
  • Assist planning and sales in preparation of orders for projects in your scope.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

  • Must be proficient with Word, Excel and possess a working knowledge of design software.
  • Successfully perform work in a multi-project environment with interruptions and deadlines.
  • Must have strong attention to detail.
  • Must have the ability to manage a large work load on a consistent basis.
  • Must have the ability to work well with others.
  • Must have above average communication skills.
  • Experience in the furniture or shelving industry a plus.
