Job Description:

The Solution Support Engineer’s role is to support the delivery of complex Document Imaging and Business Process Optimization solutions to our numerous clients across a wide-spectrum of industries while also supporting our Electronic Content Management team. This individual will be an innovative engineer able to design end-to-end document capture, business process automation, and content management solutions. The Solution Support Engineer will build, oversee, and optimize our technical imaging solutions we implement on behalf of our clients. The individual who fills this role will automate our imaging projects to ensure we recognize the efficiency and effectiveness of current technology. The Solution Engineer will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to build technical solutions on behalf of our customers while also helping to identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of their investment.

Responsibilities:

  • Use prior experience to implement automated solutions in support of our imaging and digitization projects.
  • Is comfortable working in an imaging and digitization department, including building projects in capture software and configuring scanners of all sizes for project execution.
  • Builds customized reporting for each scanning project set up and implemented.
  • Provides solution support to tickets submitted by external clients and internal colleagues.
  • Install and maintain the performance of database servers and install, upgrade, and manage database applications.
  • Rebuild scanning production environment using industry best practices to fully automate digitization process.
  • Participates in ECM projects as a lead or support engineer, which includes the configuration of e-forms, workflows, and business rules. Leading discovery, prototype review, testing and training sessions is included.
  • Develop documentation of systems, modifications, upgrades, patches, and workflows for existing systems and applications.
  • Participate in any variety of meetings and work groups to integrate activities, communicate issues, obtain approvals, resolve problems and maintain specified level of knowledge pertaining to new developments, requirements, and policies.
  • Provide training to end users.
  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

  • Experience working in an Imaging or Digitization Department and setting up automated imaging and digitization solutions.
  • Has improved business processes in the past and will use this experience to improve our client’s processes and internal procedures.
  • Experience with sales demonstrations is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience managing relational databases.
  • Experience with Kofax software or Banctec scanners is a plus, but not required.
  • Experience with an ECM system (OnBase, Docuware, etc.) is a plus but not required.
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal; Ability to translate technical concepts to end users
  • Possesses strong problem-solving skills, including the ability to respond to client and user questions while conducting demonstrations and prototype reviews.
  • Ability to work in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • Self-motivated
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field preferred.
